A Police car owned by Surrey Police has been re-decorated especially for Halloween and Bonfire Night. The patrol car was changed from its normal colours of blue and white to pumpkin orange. This is all part of an effort to stop anti-social behaviour on Halloween and Bonfire night. The car is decorated with ghosts and will be going round the county for the next fortnight.
Superintendent Colin Green is coordinating the operation on behalf of police, fire and trading standards. Shops that have been selling fireworks have also been reminded not to sell them to anyone under the age of eighteen. They have also been asked not to sell large amounts of flour or eggs to people who they think may use them to damage property. Will the plan to stop this bad behaviour work? We will hopefully be seeing how the plan works over the Next two weeks.
